Year 4 have been learning about area this week. We were set the challenge of making shapes with certain areas. We also used shapes and measured round them on whiteboards to find their area. Using the cubes was tricky. One group found that each cube measured 2cm rather than 1cm so each block measured 2cm so we had to think about that when calculating the area.
