Year 5 have been working really hard on Fractions this week. Last week we looked at equivalent fractions and this week we have moved onto comparing and ordering fractions.
We used straws to compare fractions with different denominators, by measuring them into equal parts based on their denominator and then showing the number of parts needed, using the numerator.
This took a lot of patience, group work and perseverance, but we are really getting to grips with it now!
