Spelling, punctuation and grammar are really important parts of the curriculum and have a huge impact on improving writing. We try to make them more fun to learn by getting creative, this activity was inspired by Kung-Fu Panda and the children passed their punctuation red belt today. Ask them to act out the moves for you with sound effects!
Capital Letter – Hands together and bow.
Fullstop – Ha!
Comma – Shi!
Semi-colon – Shi! Ha!
Colon – Ha! Ha!
Question mark – Shi! Shi! Shi! Ha!
Exclamation mark – Shiiiiiiiii, ha!
Colon – Ha, ha!
Speech marks/Inverted commas – Haeeeeee!
