Last week, the children all worked as a team to make bird feeders using fat, oranges and bird seed ready for the RSPB Big Birdwatch. Once the bird feeders were in place, we all collected in the bike area, sat on chairs and waited very quietly to see if any birds came and were very excited when a black bird fed from one of the feeders. This week, we have noticed a lot more birds have been visiting whilst we’ve watched from inside the classroom. We transformed our shed into a bird hide where the children have enjoyed sitting quietly and watching the different birds come and go. We have also proudly displayed our certificate from the RSPB for taking part in the Big School Birdwatch.
